The physical topographic maps and mylar overlays of that system have been scanned, georeferenced, and vectorized to create the permit boundary polygons with an index number attribute. The corresponding index card data has been entered in a spreadsheet. The polygon layers\u2019 attribute tables were joined with the spreadsheet. There are no planned updates for this layer. More recent underground coal mine permit data can be found in the \u2018Mining Permits - Bituminous \u2013 Underground / Active\u2019 layer.
